Gulu City has convened stakeholders to review the implementation of the Parish Development Model (PDM) program with focus on strengthening fund recovery and accountability.
The one-day review meeting was organized by the Production Department on yesterday at Laroo-Pece Council Hall.
Catherine Lanyero Owiny, the Senior Production Officer says Laroo-Pece Division has received 6.8 billion shillings while Bardege-Layibi Division has received 4.7 billion shillings.
Stakeholders discussed beneficiary sensitization, repayment, enforcement, political interference and need for stronger monitoring.
They resolved to strengthen monitoring and develop clear tools for tracking repayments and documenting success stories.

PDM was launched in 2022 to transition subsistence households into the money economy through parish-level planning and revolving development funds with 100 million shillings disbursed to each parish for production and enterprise support.
