
The management of East African Institute for Management Science (EAIMS) in Laroo-Pece Division, Gulu City has introduced the “Kyanira Abel Apuuli scholarship” in honor of the late founder who died in April last year.
The inaugural Kyanira Abel Apuuli scholarship will be given to two academically excellent and needy students starting in the August intake, according to Denis Okot pkony, the Institute’s Principal.
Okot who was speaking during a press conference held at the school’s main campus in Laroo-Pece division says the scholarships will be given to one male and one female student annually to honor Apuuli.
Meanwhile, Ronald Oyoo, the institute’s Academic Registrar says they intend to start degree programs next year as they seek to expand the institute.
Oyoo says they have already applied to the National Council of Higher Education (NCHE) for authorization to start offering degree programs.
East African Institute for Management Science (EAIMS) is a private Institution incorporated in 2007 as limited by guarantee under the private company’s law in Uganda.
EAIMS also operates as a Business and Vocational Training and Educational Institution under a License by the Ministry of Education issued in 2010 and are accredited by the National Council for Higher Education. (NCHE)
