The Omoro District Roads Committee has approved the maintenance of eight roads in the 2026/2027 financial year.
The roads include; Omel – Minja Road in Omoro County, Bobi-Wiilacic road in Tochi County, Odek-Jingkomi-kalkweyo road, Minakulu-Okwir-poli road, Konocuna-Lukoto road, Lakwat omer-Abili road and Lakwaya-Minja road.
Douglas Peter Okello Okao, the LC V Shairperson for Omoro district who also doubles as the chairperson of the roads committee says the selected roads were prioritized basing on their current bad state.
Jackline Cherop, the Omoro District Communication Officer says the roads currently undergoing maintenance under the 1 billion shillings maintenance grant include Acet-Binya Chome, Corner-agula-Orapwoyo road, Abuga-Alokolum and Opidi-Lwala, Lalogi-Opwac-Ocim.
Others are Anyomicash-Laminlawino road, Lakwatomer-Keto road and Keto-Hima- Opit road.
