The Deputy RCC of Pece-Laroo Peter Banya, has cautioned Headteachers in Gulu City against sending Children home over school fees.
Banya notes that it’s illegal for Teachers to send Children from government schools home over school fees because government has already deposited some portion of fees for every Child in government schools.
Banya advises school authorities to always remind the Children and their Parents on Friday rather than sending them away in the course of the week.
He further adds that the School fees approved by Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) should be appropriate and affordable for everyone.
He also appeals to Parents to keep their Children away from going into funeral dances at night as it exposes them to dangers.
President Yoweri Museveni has on many occasions also cautioned Headteachers in government schools against charging illegal schools fees which he says denies Children the basic rights to Education.
