Gulu district has set today and tomorrow as dates for Swearing in of Local Council III Chairpersons and their Councilors respectively.
According to a Circular released by the Assistant Chief Administrative Officer for Gulu district, Ms. Santa Odwar, the Swearing in of the LC3 Councilors will begin with Omel Sub-County Leaders at 9am and followed by Paicho, Unyama, Pukony and Paibona Sub-counties respectively.
The Swearing in will be conducted in accordance to the guidelines given by Ministry of local government and will be overseen by the Electoral Commission Officials from Gulu district.
On the second day, 29th, the Swearing in will start with Palaro sub-county at 9am, followed by Owalo, Patiko, Owoo and Bungatira sub-county respectively.
Unyama sub-county LC3 Elect, Justine Kidega says, he is ready for the Swearing in today adding that the sub-county will host the public and different dignitaries for Swearing in programme.
The term of former Leaders ended on May 12 and the current leaders are expected to begin work before end of May.
