
Gulu University has shortlisted four candidates for the position of Deputy Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration.
The role is key to overseeing the university’s administrative and financial affairs.
Speaking to Favour fm, James Onono Ojok named the four candidates as Collins Okello, Daniel Komakech, Eric Awich Ocen and Godfrey Akileng.
Onono says, the appointment aims to make the university more competitive with other institutions.
Onono adds that all the four candidates are disciplined professionals who can contribute to the university’s development, but only one will ultimately be selected for the role.
Daniel Komakech, one of the shortlisted candidates, says he is ready to take up the position if entrusted with it.
Komakech appeals to the interview panel to remain neutral and ensure that the most qualified person is appointed to the office.

Last week, Gulu University promoted nine staff members to the rank of Associate Professor in a move to strengthen teaching and learning at the institution.
