Ker Kwaro Acholi hails Gen Otema for his loyalty to the chiefdom

The Acholi cultural Institution (Ker kwaro Acholi) has hailed General Charles Otema Awany for his loyalty to the chiefdom.

This was during a welcome ceremony for Gen Otema at the Acholi cultural institution in Kanyagoga held today.

Otinga Otuka Yai, the deputy paramount chief who doubles as the chief of Lamogi clan says Otema respects culture and the chiefdom at large unlike other Acholi people who have got no respect for culture at all.

Otinga notes that because of the respect for chiefdom, Otema is well protected by the gods and nothing formed against him by evil shall prevail with the blessing of the chiefs which he received today.

Rwot David Onen Acana, the paramount chief of the Acholi says Otema has been welcomed back home after retiring from service because of his loyalty to the chiefdom.

Acana rubbishes claims that Ker kwaro Acholi segregates how it treats people saying the kindom treats well all who recognize and respect their culture but also relate well with the kingdom.

Otema on the other hand says since childhood he has been a listener, respectful and above all humble which has enabled him to remain alive and healthy.

He adds that he would have died if he lacked these qualities.
