Mayor pushes for a reward due to NRM improved performance

The mayor for Gulu City, Acire Julius Labeja has pushed for a reward to Gulu city due to the improved performance of the National Resistance Movement in the region.

Acire made these remarks during the opening ceremony of the 18th interforce games that started today from St Joseph’s college Layibi playgrounds located in Bardege Layibi division in Gulu City.

Acire asked the guest of honor, the minister of defence, Kiryowa Kiwanuka to add more projects in Gulu city and also grant every request the city has made.

Acire said that previously, the region was getting F9 in performance when it comes to elections but in January this year, the Acholi changed performance to a distinction, something worth rewarding.

Kiryowa Kiwanuka, the minister of defence responded to the mayor’s request saying that many children of NRM have been performing very well for many years, they also need the same help so Gulu city should be patient while working hard and ensuring that they don’t decline in performance.

According to Kiryowa, Gulu city and Acholi sub region is already blessed with a number of projects and more are yet to come that means the government is already working.
