Agago district has received a total of 67,000 hand-hoes from the Ministry of Agriculture Animal Husbandry and Fisheries.
Otto Wilson, the district Chairman says they lobbied for Agago district to be included among the first 23 districts in Uganda to receive the Hand hoes.
He adds that there are currently 69,000 households in Agago district meaning there is a shortfall of over 3,000 hoes.
Otto adds that the Hand hoes will be distributed to 55 households in each village in order to support farmers in the district.
He further says that the Local Council leaders will register all the beneficiaries in the district while distribution will take place on the 17th of next month in all villages in the district.
