Omoro District verification team chaired by Okot Andrew Obibi, the LCV Chairman has verified and approved seven students from Omoro District to benefit from the District Quota System.
Jackie Cherop, the Omoro district Communication Officer says all the sevenstudents are residents of Omoro district.
They are; OkotRoggersLamony, Opiyo Brian Stewart, Omoo Innocent, Agenorwot Oliver, Abonyo Winnie, Akello Daisy and AcayoProssy.
Girls took more slots than the boys in the 2025 scholarship.
Students were drawn from Koro Secondary School, Opit SS and Awere SS.
They were accompanied by their parents for the verification exercise which took place in the District Chairperson’s office.
Obibiurges the students to observe discipline during their time of study and desist from joining strikes.
Rev. Ocheng Vincent Ocen, the District Education Officer urges the beneficiaries to concentrate on of studies and consider giving back to Omoro District in terms of service after school or during internship.
The Students are expected to report to the various Universities across Uganda in August.
