Giri Giri passed away on Tuesday from Lacor Hospital after a long time illness
Giri Giri, a longtime member of the National Resistance Movement started her leadership role from Gulu district before moving to Omoro district
Samuel Agwani, the NRM Publicity secretary for NRM in Acholi sub-region, describes the late Giri Giri as an NRM Cadre who mentored many young leaders.
Agwani says her leadership will be greatly missed by the people of Omoro and Acholi at large.
Michael Ochora, who contested as an NRM Flag bearer in 2011 elections remembers the late Giri-Giri for her support even when he was abandon by other top officials.
Giri-Giri also served as the Chairperson of Women Council for Omoro district.
The official burial date has not been announced but she is expected to be honored by Omoro district Council for her immense contribution in the district.
