Police hunts for motorcycle robber on Cemetery Road

Police in Gulu City are searching for two armed men who attacked and robbed a motorcyclist on cemetery road.

David Ongom Mudong, the Aswa West Region Police Spokesperson says security forces in Gulu are hunting for two unknown armed assailants following an aggravated robbery that happened on the night of 2nd May 2026.

According to Mudong, the incident occurred around 9:30pm at For God Cemetery Road in Bardege-Layibi Division, Gulu City West Policing Division.

He further says that the victim has been identified as Onen Morris Onna who was heading home on his motorcycle when he encountered two unknown men.

One of them was allegedly armed with a gun.

Mudong says the assailants attacked Onen, hit him with an object, and robbed him of his motorcycle – registration number UFM 917C, a UG Boss model valued at 5.6 million shillings.

He adds that police have registered a case of aggravated robbery and statements from the victim and other sources are being obtained as inquiries continue.

The police is now urging anyone with relevant information about the suspects to pass it confidentially to them or other authorities to help in the possible arrest and prosecution of the criminals.
