

The presidential industrial hubs in Uganda has set today 18th June 2026 as the reporting date for 6th intake which was postponed.
Presidential Industrial Hubs are zonal vocational training centers in Uganda initiated by President Yoweri Museveni to provide free, practical skills training to disadvantaged youth (aged 18–35) to curb unemployment and boost local production.
Nineteen hubs operate nationwide, offering courses in welding, tailoring, carpentry, and baking to transform trainees into self-reliant, productive citizens.
The initial reporting date for the 6th intake into the presidential industrial hubs was on 30th April but because of a series of national events that happened in the month of May, it was postponed.
Odong Jimmy, the manager of Acholi presidential industrial hub told favour FM that today 18th June they expect every student who was admitted to the hub to report to school, he adds that sometimes some people don’t report and that’s how they miss on the golden chance which is not easy to get.
Odong asks the students to go with only their personal requirements because the rest of the items they will get from school.
Odong also thanks the leaders of Acholi sub region for the good mobilization which has enabled them pick on the students who were selected, meanwhile he urges those who missed out to wait for the other coming intakes ahead.
Odong urges the leaders to continue coordination with the selected students until the time when they are at the school because if not coordinated others will miss out on reporting.
