
Police in Amolatar district have recovered two stolen calves during an intelligence led operation in Muntu.
Patrick Jimmy Okema, the North Kyoga Region Police Spokesperson says in a statement that the stolen calves were enroute to Kaberamaido District for sale when they were recovered on Tuesday.
Okema says that two suspects identified as Emmanuel Okwel and Denis Okello, both residents of Amolatar Town council, were arrested.
Okema says that police were yet to identify the owner of the calves.
He hails members of the community for working together with police to handle cattle theft within the District.
