Gulu City Council to Honor the late Lacambel

Gulu City Council is set to hold a special Emergency Full Council meeting in Memory of the late Veteran Radio Presenter, Oryema John Bosco, commonly known as Lacambel. 

In a Circular released from Gulu City Council authorities, the Emergency Full Council meeting will be held tomorrow at 10am from the home of the late Lacambel in Laliya Parish, Pece-Laroo division in Gulu City.

The Council will honor Lacambel for his immense contribution towards return of Peace in Northern Uganda.

Lacambel, who worked in the media between 2002 to 2023 is credited for his great work during the peak of the LRA Insurgency where he used his Radio Program (Dwog Paco) come back home, and made over 20,000 former abductees return home. 

He died on Sunday 1 June after a long illness and he was 70 years old.

He will be buried in his ancestral home on Saturday 13 at Laliya in Gulu City.
