The business community in Gulu City has been warned by the city authority on rushing to occupy semi-permanent buildings for doing their businesses.
Speaking from her office in Gulu City, Mildred Auma the Gulu City communications officer said that their physical planning team are already on ground and so far they have stopped the construction of some semi-permanent houses in Kanyagoga cell in Bardege Layibi division in Gulu City.
Auma says any building whose plan was not approved by the city is illegal and anybody who risks occupying it will suffer the consequences.
Auma asks the business people to be wise before renting any building for business; this will save them and their businesses.
Auma advises that before renting a house, one should find out if the plan was approved by the city and if it’s an authentic building, this will save the business people from frustrations when the physical planning team reaches them.
