Kitende Run Riot with 6-0 Win Against DR Congo in CAF Schools Competition

Uganda’s St Mary’s Boarding School Kitende has beaten Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) 6-0 during the CAF schools football championship in Zimbabwe.

Owen Mukisa led the assault with a hat-trick, as Musa Kironde, Ivan Kakinda and Emmanuel Opio added a goal apiece during yesterday’s match.

On Easter Monday, St Mary’s Kitende held hosts Zimbabwe to a 1-all draw.

Now, St Mary’s Kitende has accumulated four points out of two games and needs to avoid defeat to be assured of progress to the knock out round of the championship.

Morocco qualified to the semi-finals with a 2-1 win over Zimbabwe.

Meanwhile, in group B; Tanzania (boys’ defending champions) played to a 1-all draw with West Africans Benin.
