The upgrade of a 600m road in Koch goma town council, Nwoya district under Uganda Road Fund has been suspended due to shoddy work.
Geoffrey Obama Opiyo, the LC III Chairperson of Koch goma Town Council says the community were dissatisfied with the quality of work on Koch goma town council road.
Obama says the community doubted the type of murrum, the test conduted on the murrum being used and the standard of compacting used on the road.
Obama says they have presented the sample of the murrum to the laboratory for testing as they wait for results which they believe will be available after one week.
He says it is important to consider the interest of the community because they are the users of the road.
Koch goma Town Council civic road is being upgraded at 330 million shillings by Busena Company Enterprise.
