Police in Gulu City are holding three suspected hard-core criminals after attacking a Gulu University Student.
James Onono Ojok, the Communication Officer at Gulu University confirmed this saying the female student was on Sunday morning reporting at her hostel when she was attacked and robbed at around Pece-prisons.
Onono says the third year Biosystem Engineering student was coming from Kampala she boarded a boda rider from Buganda Pub boda stage at around 3am.
The Boda rider reportedly used the Moroto Road and branched into a dark corner where he was joined by other robbers.
They robbed the student of her laptops, money and other belongings.
The student later reported the case to University Police who worked with other CID Officers and they tracked her laptop to a place in Lacan-kwite in Layibi .
Onono adds that they recovered the Students laptops and several other stolen items from these Suspects.
He also cautions students against moving at night as they will become targets for Robbers and Night gangs.
The Areas of Laroo are known n for harboring street gangs at night.
