Three people were last night killed in a road crash at Kulu Yago along Lira-Kamdini highway in Kole district.
Patrick Jimmy Okema, the North Kyoga Police Spokesperson confirms the incident saying that preliminary findings indicate that vehicle registration number UA 049CV, a Nissan Patrol, was travelling from Lira towards Kamdini when it collided head-on with a motorcycle registration number UFV 110A.
Okema says that the motorcycle was heading towards Lira from Kamdini carrying three occupants who all died on the spot.
He says that the driver of the motor vehicle allegedly fled from the scene and police have launched efforts to trace and arrest him.
Okema says that the bodies of the deceased were conveyed to Lira Regional Referral Hospital Mortuary pending postmortem while both the vehicle and the motorcycle were towed to Kole Central Police Station.
