Woodball has climaxed at the Gulu University school of Medicine during the 2026 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Ball Games II yesterday.
After gruelling action that involved a number of schools, the action winded down with the semi-finals and finals.
Entebbe Municipality’s Airforce S.S won the boys’ category, after overcoming Mbarara High School (Chaapa) in the final 3-0 to take gold.
Luzira S.S was third to finish with bronze.
In the team event, St Mark’s College Namagoma won gold with St Joseph S.S Naggalama taking gold as Mengo S.S finished third for the bronze.
Rev. Canon Duncans Mugumya, the Commissioner at the Ministry of Education and Sports in charge of sports was the chief guest during the closing ceremony and awarded medal and trophies to participants.
