A mulaalo cattle herdsman has drowned in Aswa River, Oroko Center village, Palaro Sub County in Gulu district.
The deceased in his 30s had reportedly gone for a bath in the river five days ago but failed to return home.
Michael Komakech, the L.C V Councilor for Palaro Sub County says reports indicate that only the clothes of the herdsman were discovered near the river where he is believed to have undressed before going to bathe.
Komakech says a search for the herdsman ended at 10:00am on Tuesday when his corpse was discovered floating on the river and retrieved.
He adds that the corpse was taken to Padibe health center for postmortem.
Reports indicate that the herdsman was recently employed at the home of one Martha Ayubu in Oroko Center village alongside another pastoralist.
