Nation Media Group Uganda (NMG-U) has announced that its physical offices in Kampala have been rendered inaccessible following an overnight raid by the military.
In a statement issued yesterday evening through its social media channels, NMG-U said its premises located at Plots 29/35, 8th Street, Industrial Area, Namuwongo, Kampala, and the Kampala Serena International Conference Centre were raided at about 1:00 am on Sunday.
The media company says the operation resulted in the disconnection of electricity and disruption of normal operations across its radio, television, and newspaper platforms.
NMG-U says that although its offices remain closed, it will continue engaging its audiences through its digital platforms.
The company thanks its readers, viewers, listeners, and stakeholders for their continued support and has promised to provide further updates as the situation develops.
