Teso College Aloet Marks 72 Years, Students Urged to Uphold Integrity

Students in Teso have been urged to embrace integrity, remain focused, and build on their individual strengths.

The call was mad as Teso College Aloet celebrated 72 years of existence alongside a notable improvement in academic performance.

The call was made during an awards ceremony that brought together education officials, political and religious leaders, parents, alumni, and students.

The event recognised top performers in both Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examinations, while reflecting on the school’s legacy and renewed progress.

Juliet Atuhairwe Muzoora, the Commissioner for Government Secondary Education who represented the Ministry of Education and Sports commends the school for its remarkable academic turnaround and renewed sense of purpose.

Rev. Canon Samuel Ediau, the Chairperson of the Board of Governors cautions against complacency, describing the current success as a stepping stone rather than a final destination.

He urges students to remain purposeful, manage their time effectively, and avoid unhealthy competition, instead focusing on personal growth and integrity.

Founded over seven decades ago, Teso College Aloet currently has an enrolment of more than 1,700 students and remains one of the region’s prominent government-aided schools.
